NASA-backed starshade concept aims to make rocky exoplanets visible from Earth

NASA-backed HOEE would pair an orbital starshade with giant ground telescopes.

VLA Sky Survey Delivers the Sharpest Wide Radio Map Yet

The Very Large Array Sky Survey was completed in February 2026 after covering 80% of the sky in three epochs.
VLASS generated about 2 petabytes of data and is described as the highest-resolution radio survey ever taken.
Its resolution now aligns radio observations more closely with modern optical and infrared surveys.

The Vera Rubin Observatory has started the 10-year Legacy Survey of Space and Time.
The survey will repeatedly image the southern sky, looking for objects that change brightness, position, or both.
