A Monster Display at Its Lowest Price
Samsung's 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 gaming monitor has dropped to $1,499.99 for Presidents' Day weekend, slashing $800 off its $2,299.99 list price. The 35% discount represents one of the best prices ever recorded for this ultra-wide display, falling well below its 30-day average of approximately $2,055 and its typical street price of around $1,800. The deal is available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung's own website.
The Odyssey Neo G9 is not a conventional gaming monitor. At 57 inches with a 32:9 aspect ratio, it effectively replaces two side-by-side 4K monitors with a seamless curved display. Its native resolution of 7680 x 2160 means it renders the equivalent of two full 4K panels without any bezel gap in the middle.
Cutting-Edge Display Technology
Under the hood, the Neo G9 uses Samsung's Quantum Mini-LED backlighting with 2,392 local dimming zones, delivering exceptional contrast and HDR performance that LCD monitors historically could not match. The DisplayHDR 1000 certification means peak brightness hits 1,000 nits, while the contrast ratio reaches 1,000,000:1, producing deep blacks alongside vivid highlights.
For gamers, the specifications are equally impressive. The 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time ensure fluid motion with minimal ghosting, while AMD FreeSync Premium Pro eliminates screen tearing and stuttering. The monitor includes both DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 connections, ensuring compatibility with the latest graphics cards and gaming consoles.
