Coachmen Origin Blends Class A, B and C Into One Hybrid Camper Bus
Key Takeaways
- Coachmen's new Origin motorhome deliberately mixes Class A, Class C and Class B camper van characteristics into one vehicle.
- It is built on a Ford E-Series stripped chassis rather than the E-Series cutaway chassis typical of Class C motorhomes.
- Coachmen developed its own cab instead of building into a Ford cab, giving more design freedom up front.
- The rear fixed bedroom is replaced by a camper van-style dual-sofa lounge/bed that frees up aisle space for cargo.
