Tesla's Emergency Drive Away Can Cause $25,000 in Supercharger Damage
Key Takeaways
- Tesla's Emergency Drive Away feature can reportedly cause up to $25,000 in damage to a Supercharger each time it is used.
- The vehicle also requires a mandatory service visit after the feature is triggered, compounding the ownership burden.
- Tesla has since released additional information, though cost responsibility remains the central unanswered question.
- The news lands alongside Tesla's Q3 2026 deliveries of 486,532 vehicles, a 2% year-over-year decline that still beat estimates.
