Engadget reports the iPhone Duo's foldable form factor allows for more placement options when shooting photos.
The coverage highlights new camera features on the device, including a "Smart Take" AI photo capturing feature referenced in the article URL.
A folding body could let the phone rest on a surface, freeing subjects from arm's-length framing and reducing wide-angle distortion.
AI-assisted capture typically targets timing and composition problems, which matter more when the camera is far from the photographer.

The iPhone Duo's crease looks impressively minimal out of the box, but that reflects only its initial condition.
Crease visibility is a wear-related property that develops over thousands of folding cycles, not something measurable on day one.
Hinge geometry, display stack materials, adhesives, usage habits, environment, and unit-to-unit variation all influence how a fold line ages.
Accelerated folding-machine tests can simulate cycles but cannot replicate real-world grit, temperature swings, or subtle optical changes.
