Jane Wickline played Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update during the Sept. 26 Season 52 premiere.
The sketch presented two versions of Amodei: a polished, reassuring executive and an unfiltered one who dominated the segment.
Punchlines included the claim that AI is the devil and the character is its maker, plus the admission that the industry does not condone what it is doing.
Asked whether AI could cure cancer, the character said there is about a 10% chance in 10 years that cancer will not be a problem for anyone.

Colin Jost and Michael Che returned to the Weekend Update desk for the new SNL season.
The anchors covered Xi Jinping's visit to President Trump and Netanyahu's UN General Assembly appearance.
Che joked that Netanyahu addressed an almost empty chamber after delegates walked out over Israel's war in Gaza; the line drew a groan.
Other targets included Trump's new helipad, Meta's AI agent Muse, and a report that 20% of Gen Z have never had sex.
